1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how GadaaPay LLC (“GadaaPay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you access our mobile application, website, or related services. By creating an account or using any feature of GadaaPay, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, you must discontinue use of GadaaPay services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information required to verify your identity, process transactions, operate your wallet, comply with U.S. financial laws, and maintain platform security. This includes your full name, phone number, email address, home address, date of birth, Social Security Number (last four digits), government-issued identification images, selfie or facial verification images, device identifiers, IP address, geolocation (when required for fraud prevention), transaction history, bank account details, debit card information, and any other data requested by financial regulations. For business accounts, we also collect Employer Identification Numbers (EIN), business names, business addresses, ownership information, beneficial owner details, documents required for KYB verification, and business transaction records.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to verify your identity, create and maintain your account, process payments, send and receive money, support business transactions, manage risk, prevent fraud, handle disputes, comply with financial laws, provide notifications, improve platform performance, and maintain accurate operational records. For business accounts, we also use your information to verify your business, enable payouts, process refunds, manage disputes, and maintain regulatory compliance.
4. Sharing Your Information
GadaaPay does not sell your personal data. We share information only when necessary to operate the platform, comply with legal obligations, or protect against fraud. We share information with our financial and regulatory partners, including Stripe, Stripe Connect, Stripe Identity, banking partners used for wallet fund storage and payouts, and identity verification services. Your information may also be shared with government authorities, regulatory agencies, or law enforcement when required by law. For business accounts, certain data may be shared with payment processors for KYB verification, dispute handling, or chargeback resolution.
5. How Stripe Uses Your Information
Stripe and its affiliates process payments, store wallet balances, verify identities, evaluate risks, and handle connected accounts for GadaaPay. Stripe may use your information according to its own Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. Stripe is a regulated financial service provider, and its use of your data is strictly governed by financial laws. By using GadaaPay, you authorize us to share your data with Stripe for identity verification, payment processing, payout management, fraud analysis, and compliance purposes.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technology
Our website and app may use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to improve functionality, remember user preferences, analyze performance, and enhance security. Cookies may also help us identify suspicious login behavior to prevent fraud. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may limit your ability to use certain features.
7. How We Protect Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, limited-access storage, device binding, biometric login options, secure PIN authentication, fraud-detection tools, and restricted internal access. Although we work to protect your data, no system is fully secure. You are responsible for keeping your PIN, password, and device secure at all times.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may update your personal information at any time within your account settings or by contacting support. You may request access to your data, request corrections, or request account closure. Certain data may remain stored for legal, regulatory, or fraud-prevention purposes. Closing your account does not eliminate financial reporting obligations, transaction history requirements, or regulatory retention rules.
9. Data Retention
We retain your information as required by U.S. law, including KYC/KYB regulations, anti-money-laundering (AML) laws, payment network rules, and financial industry standards. Transaction data, identity documentation, and business verification records may be retained for several years as required for compliance, fraud prevention, tax reporting, and dispute resolution.
10. Children’s Privacy
GadaaPay is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will immediately delete the account and any associated data.
11. Business Account Privacy
Business users agree that their business information—including EIN, legal name, officer or owner data, beneficial owner identification, bank account information, business category, and transaction activity—may be shared with Stripe and other partners to satisfy KYB, payout processing, fraud monitoring, and compliance requirements. Business information may also be reviewed during disputes or regulatory checks.
12. Third-Party Services
GadaaPay may contain links to third-party services such as Stripe dashboards, verification pages, or external websites. These services have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before use.
